astdbkey with regex buttons

I'm trying to do DND style button marking, and everything seems to work fine, except that astdbkey seems to be ignored for regex buttons? is there some magic I need for this to work, or just a bug in FOP?

I have buttons which look like this:

[_(IAX2|SIP)/johnsmith.*]
Position=16
Label="6855 John Smith"
Extension=6855
Context=default
Icon=1
Voicemail_Context=default
astdbkey=SIP/johnsmith


and some regular buttons like this:

[SIP/johndoe]
Position=17
Label="6866 John Doe"
Extension=6866
Context=default
Icon=1
Voicemail_Context=default
astdbkey=SIP/johndoe

the database is checked for the regular button, but not the regex button...
