Probably your panel directory has root permissions and (if you are
replacing a freepbx FOP) it needs to be asterisk user and asterisk
group.
You might also need to run the freepbx script to change settings (sorry
I can't remember which this is and I don't have a system to check up on
it.

Subject: [Flash Operator Panel] having problem with upgrade
As earlier mentioned I am tryong to use last FOP version (0.27) with my
asterisk/FreePBX installation
I saved my running panel installation into panel.back directory, and I
created a new panel dir.
I downloaded tar.gz file, exploded it and copied all the files/dir into
panel directory.
Then I copied back all the .cfg and safe_opserver files from panel.back
dir
to panel dir
When I tried to start fop server using amportal start, it says:
STARTING FOP SERVER
Could not write configuration data UNUSED/variables.txt.
Check your file permissions
-----------------------------------------------------
The FOP's server (op_server.pl) could not start!
Please correct this problem
The variables.txt should be written into /srv/www/amp/panel directory,
wich
is the actual panel directory.
What could the problem be ?
Thanks in advance,
Andrea
